GORBA Volunteers will adhere to the following rules:
- Fulfill duties to a satisfactory standard; to the best of their ability in a safe, efficient and competent manner.
- Follow instructions or directions reasonably given to them.
- Treat others with fairness, equality, dignity and respect.
- Make no derogatory remarks to other volunteers or trail users.
- Act and communicate honestly, responsibly and with integrity at all times.
- Sustained disruption of crew captains, events, forums, or meetings, including talks and presentations, will not be tolerated.
- Will not partake in drugs and/or alcohol when volunteering with GORBA.
- Will dress appropriately and utilize appropriate safety gear.
- Maintain safe working distance around others when using tools.
- Raise concerns about possible wrongdoing they have witnessed in the course of their work with GORBA.
- Observe safety procedures, including any obligations concerning the safety, health and welfare of other people.
- Report any health and safety concerns to their supervisor.
- Direct questions regarding GORBA’s policies, procedures, support or supervision to their supervisor or board member.
- Address any issues or difficulties about any aspect of their role to their supervisor.
- Declare any interests that may conflict with their role or work with GORBA (e.g. business interests or employment).
- Keep confidential matters confidential.
- Seek authorization before communicating externally on behalf of GORBA.
