Trail Status Designations

Status
Description
Good
This is as good as it gets, conditions are good everywhere.
Mixed
The conditions are different between Guelph Lake and Arkell. Check the individual Intsagram postings for more details.
Wet
Watch for slippery rocks and trails.
Muddy
There are lots of wet and muddy spots, it’s best for everyone that you don’t ride the trails.
Early Spring
Ground is saturated. Don't Ride. Please be patient, we're almost there!
Good Winter
The Winter Loop riding conditions are good!
Slushy
It’s best you don’t ride – slush freezes over night and then you’re left with frozen ruts.
Icy
Slippery but rideable, studs are recommended for best traction.
Caution
Conditions are not ideal. Riding is not advised.
Don't Ride
Riding will damage the trails, please stay off.

Group Rides

GORBA has many group rides throughout the week in the evenings and on weekends.

GORBA offers the following group ride types:

  • Tuesday evening is intermediate and fast
  • Wednesday evening is moderate
  • Thursday evening at Arkell – intermediate to fast and technical
  • Friday late afternoon is Women’s intermediate
  • Saturday Morning is moderate
  • Sunday Morning is intermediate to fast

You have to be a member to participate with a GORBA Group Ride.

Only current members will receive notifications about group rides.

Ride notifications will be sent out to all current members several days before the ride.

Group rides happen at Guelph Lake, Arkell Spring Grounds and some remote locations as well.
