Trail Status Designations

Status
Description
Good
This is as good as it gets, conditions are good everywhere.
Mixed
The conditions are different between Guelph Lake and Arkell. Check the individual Intsagram postings for more details.
Wet
Watch for slippery rocks and trails.
Muddy
There are lots of wet and muddy spots, it’s best for everyone that you don’t ride the trails.
Early Spring
Ground is saturated. Don't Ride. Please be patient, we're almost there!
Good Winter
The Winter Loop riding conditions are good!
Slushy
It’s best you don’t ride – slush freezes over night and then you’re left with frozen ruts.
Icy
Slippery but rideable, studs are recommended for best traction.
Caution
Conditions are not ideal. Riding is not advised.
Don't Ride
Riding will damage the trails, please stay off.

Notice: DSV Spraying on Leapin’ Lou on July 13

⛔ Leapin’ Lou trail at Guelph Lake is temporarily closed for herbicide application by the GRCA for dog-strangling vine all day on July 13, 2026.

Signs have been up at the trail entrance and exit, as well as at Farmstead Junction.

Safety First! For July 13th, we ask for your cooperation and understanding. The use of herbicides requires that the trail be closed to prevent any risk to the public. Please obey signage and use alternate trails: check out our TrailForks page for Guelph Lake for reroutes. Keep dogs on leash.
